Boundary Bay Dyke Trail is a long-flat pathway along the coast in Tsawwassen, on the peninsular south of Vancouver. If you walk (or cycle) along the entire dyke, it’ll take you the whole way to Surrey. We just did part of the walk, starting in Boundary Bay Regional Park and walked for 6km (12km in both directions.) A couple of weeks ago Marc and I explored another one of Vancouver’s beautiful parks, the Lighthouse park on Vancouver’s Western shore. This park used to be a military base, so it was protected from logging over the last century. This means it has some large old growth trees and plenty of wildlife. Vancouver walks – Beach trail

Last Sunday we decided to take a bus to Jericho beach and walk all along the beaches on the Spanish banks to Acadia beach, Tower beach and around to Wreck beach. The entire walk was only about 13km so it was a relaxing stroll, moving slowly further away from central Vancouver.
