Camping at Syringa Provincial Park is a great option if you want to explore the area around Castlegar in BC, Canada. There are two campgrounds, the Main area and the Bighorn campground (that has some sites with electric hook ups.) Both are located on the southeast side of Lower Arrow Lake. It’s not possible to book sites, so you need to just show up and choose a spot on a first come first served basis. McDonald Falls is an easy to reach waterfall just off Lost Creek Forest Service Road near Mission, BC (Canada). It is less than 4km north of the far more famous Cascade Falls which is likely to have crowds of visitors. This waterfall, although just as impressive, is much quieter.
