We walked this section of the Capital ring on the same day as the previous section, but I liked this half of the walk quite a lot more. The part around Greenford is not particularly picturesque. This is another really pleasant section of the Capital Ring walk that loops around London. This part is just under 9km long, from Osterley Lock (near Boston Manor station) to Greenford. This part is not very difficult, although it can get a little muddy in a few places. This part of the Capital Ring meanders from Richmond Bridge to Osterley Lock, mostly along the Thames and the Union Canal. This is probably the most famous section of the Capital ring starting in Wimbledon and walking over to Richmond. The route is almost entirely within gorgeous parks with lovely views of greenery, deers and the boats on the river Thames.
