Last weekend I went hiking through the clouds with a lovely group of Wanderung hikers. Our plan was to walk up to the beautiful Brandywine Meadows, and then continue with a scramble up Brandywine Mountain. I went for my first hike in the USA! The Mount Baker area is pretty close to the border and incredibly beautiful. There are quite a few fantastic sounding walks there, but we started with one of the famous ones; The Skyline Divide Trail.  This hike follows a trail through a forest, with occasional bursts of meadows covered in wildflowers, then you will emerge onto a lovely ridge walk. Happy Canada Day everyone! I celebrated the holiday weekend by going on one of the most amazing hikes! The Joffre Lakes trail goes through old growth forest past three glacier-fed, turquoise lakes.
